Sudbury’s Lego League Qualifying Tournament

Pride Week in Sudbury!

The beginning of July also marks the beginning of Sudbury Pride. Sudbury will be
welcoming Sudbury Pride Week, also known as Fierte Sudbury Pride, from July 8 –
July 14, 2019 to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in the Greater Sudbury Area.

Pride themed events will be held all throughout the Greater Sudbury Area
throughout the week in order to raise funds for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pride Week will start with the ceremonial Flag Raising ceremony in Tom Davies
Square at 11am on July 8th , 2019. Celebrations will also include a Paris Is Burning
documentary screening, lightshows at Dynamic Earth, Drag Queen Bingo, and even
an under 18 Pride Prom to be held at The Sudbury Theatre Centre. You can check

YES Theatre Presents Mamma Mia!

To celebrate their 10th season of show productions, Yes Theatre will be showing a
performance of the hit musical Mamma Mia featuring the music of ABBA. The show
will run from July 5 to July 21 at the Sudbury Theatre Centre, preformed by the
young, talented, and enthusiastic theatre company based in Sudbury, ON.

YES (Youth Entertaining Sudbury), created by Alessandro Costantini in 2010, is a
hybrid of professional and community theatre. This means that they are able to

Sudbury Spotlight: Relay For Life 2019

Cancer affects us all. Whether we have been diagnosed with it ourselves or have a
loved one with cancer, it is a tragedy that everyone in the world faces together in
hopes to conquer. Relay For Life is an event created to help battle cancer and show
everyone affected by cancer that they strong and not alone.

This yearly event is a run/walk marathon that also has many other activities. The
first event will be the Survivors’ Victory Lap. After this, the laps will continue and
each team is asked to have at least one member on the track while others can
explore the event and talk to other members of the community.

The event will be running on Friday June 21, 2019, 6pm-12am, located at 935
