I’ve always said that if you want to start hating a song, set it as your morning alarm. But, with that being said, sometimes it’s great to put in a little effort into choosing what song you wake up to because it could, potentially, set your mood for the day. I’ve put together an, albeit short, list of great songs that you can set as your alarm that might just put you in a better mood next time you wake up. Now, these are songs that I, personally, love to wake up to so you might have to find your own awesome songs but the point is to find songs that either energize you or wake you up in a calm and happy mood. Here are some examples:
My mom woke me up with this song every single day in the 90’s. I love and hate it equally, but I have to admit that it’s a great morning alarm song. Everybody loves the 90’s so wake up feeling like you’re reliving it with this awesome morning alarm.
2. Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb
This is a slower song that will gently nudge you awake. Pink Floyd is great to set as your morning alarm on a weekend morning when you’re in no hurry to get up. It will wake you up feeling peaceful and calm, and sometimes you just really need that.
3. System of A Down – Chop Suey!
Are you in need of a morning alarm that will jolt you out of slumber and right out the door in record time? Set this song as your alarm clock but make it so it starts right when he sings, “Wake up!” I did this and I could have broken a world record of how quickly I shot out of bed and got dressed. This song is perfect for those mornings when you haven’t slept enough so you need a little extra motivation to get you out of bed.
Want to wake up dancing? I like to believe that there is not a single person on this planet who does not want to start dancing when they listen to this song. Another throwback song to the 90’s because we all seem to miss the 90’s so much, Mr. President will ensure you wake up on the right side of the bed.
These are some examples of different kinds of songs that will wake you up in different moods, so if you don’t like any of these you can go ahead and choose your own. Just, whatever you do, do not set your favourite song as your alarm because you will end up hating it after a week.
